Edward Nalepa 1924-2017

MARYSVILLE — Edward Nalepa, 92, died peacefully Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, in his Marysville home surrounded by his loving family.

Edward was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Poland, to John and Stefhania Warchuck Nalepa.

He was a proud veteran of World War II, having served honorably in the U.S. Army. After the war, he worked at Copperweld Steel Mill in Warren, retiring after 27 years.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edith Wolz Nalepa; his four children, Anne (Rod) Sprague of Bristol, Paul (Marian) Nalepa of Boardman, Mark (Melanie) Nalepa of Green and David (Patty) Nalepa of Marysville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Nalepa family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate and caring staff of Carriage Court Assisted Living and to Loving Care Hospice for the comfort and care they provided during our time of need.

A private family service will be held with interment in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
