NORTH RIDGEVILLE — Buddy Whitehill, 91, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2017.
He was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Weathersfield, to the late Forest and Iolene Coursin Whitehill.
Buddy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, who later went on to work for the Federal Aviation Administration.
He loved working with radios, especially buying and restoring antique ones. He was a true restoration aficionado. Buddy also enjoyed camping and traveling and belonged to several traveling clubs, but he will be remembered most for the time he loved spending with his family.
He will be missed by the many who knew and loved him, especially his beloved wife, Betty, of 72 years; his children, Pamela Whitehill and Kenneth (Patricia) Whitehill; his granddaughter, Emily Whitehill; his nephew, Dale Whitehill; and many extended family and friends, especially the Leo Schnell Family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Whitehill.
Family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212. A service will take place Friday, Oct. 13, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1605 Center Road, Hinckley, OH 44233. Buddy will privately be laid to rest at Union Cemetery, Niles.
