WARREN — Anniest Essie Williams Kirksey, 91, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.

She was born June 1, 1926, in Lafayette, Ala., the daughter of Clanton Lewis and Isadella Williams Sr.

She worked for Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital and was a member of Eastside Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, Jesse Kirksey Jr. of Dunn, N.C., and Kim Kirksey of Raleigh, N.C.; eight daughters, Jacqueline Moore, Anita Dennison, Annette McCord and Bertha Kirksey, all of Warren, Gwynne Little of Trenton, N.J., Frenchie Boggs of Lordstown, Priscilla Reed of Fairlawn and Chanel Crunkleton of Warren; four sisters, Sallie James of Detroit, Dorothy Powell of Lafayette, Ala., Mary Echols of Tuskegee, Ala., and Aquilla Colvin of Warren; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Dwan Kirksey; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at the Second Baptist Church, where calling hours will be one hour prior to service. Burial will take place at Pine Knoll Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
