Leslie Webb 1944-2017

KINSMAN — Leslie “Chuck” Webb, 73, of Kinsman, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Washington Square Health Care Center in Warren.

He was born July 21, 1944, in Havre de Grace, Md., a son of Robert Webb and Betty Marie Friend Barrett. A longtime Kinsman resident, Chuck had also resided in Bingham, Maine, for many years with his wife.

Chuck was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in combat in the Vietnam War, and was a member of the DAV.

In his earlier years, Chuck was employed as manager of the Hill’s Department Store in Warren. He later went on to own and operate a farm in Kinsman.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and enjoyed woodcarving, carpentry and stone work. He built both of his homes in Maine and Kinsman.

Chuck married Mary Irene Kane Webb on Dec. 18, 1972, and she preceded him in death Nov. 1, 2013. He was also preceded by his father, Robert Webb; mother, Betty Barrett; a great-granddaughter; and his brother, Dan Webb.

He is survived by four daughters, Heather Iafrati, Edna Holsapple, Leslie Wright and Missy Persavich; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson on the way; three sisters, Brenda Hast, Paulette Moore and Mary Jane Brown; and one brother, Wayne Webb.

Chuck’s wishes were to be cremated. A private gathering will be held for family and friends.
