Richard P. Williams 1955-2017

PALMYRA TOWNSHIP — Richard “Dick” Paul Williams, 61, passed on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, in the comfort of his home.

He was born Nov. 25, 1955, in Warren, the son of Ralph and Anna “Marge” Byrne Williams.

Dick was a lifetime resident of the area, where he was the owner of Williams Construction for over 40 years. He was a skilled carpenter, woodworker and builder.

His relaxing pastimes were hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He was a U.S. Coast Guard certified captain and had operated a fishing charter service. Dick was also a gun collector and looked forward to attending the annual Mahoning County Fall Sportsman Festival.

Dick was happy to join into any family activity. There was always fun to be had by all, including cleaning the catch of the day or listening to Dick playing the guitar.

Memories of Dick will be carried on by his loving wife, Deborah; his children, Eric Michael (Alicia) Williams, Cari Lynn (Jesse) Delgado and Alan Daniel (Lizzi) Williams; his stepchildren, Cody Arthur (Rachael) Andrews, Matthew David Andrews and Christopher Michael Andrews; his grandchildren, Payton, Evan, Roman, Marley, Janie, Dominic, Rocco, Wyatt and Jacob; and his siblings, Ralph Wilson Williams Jr., William “Bill” Williams, Ida Mae Davis and Dan Lee “Butch” Williams.

Preceding Dick were his parents, Ralph and Anna Williams; his siblings, Robert, David, Sue Anne, Linus “Pete” and James; and his in-laws, Janet and David Headley.

The family will meet friends 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls, where a service will be held at noon with Pastor James Holbrook officiating.

Interment will be in the North Jackson Cemetery.

Material tributes may be made in memory of Dick to the American Cancer Society.
