BURGHILL — Paul Scharville, 78, of Burghill, passed away at home Friday morning, June 16, 2017.

He was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Sharon, Pa., the son of James and Helen Repas Scharville.

He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving from 1957 to 1961.

Paul retired in 2000 as a carpenter from Carpenters Local 171 in Youngstown. He was a 50-year member.

Paul belonged to the American Legion in Kinsman.

He was a former police marshal in Orangeville.

Paul loved to hunt and fish and going to flea markets. He also enjoyed being a master finish carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Gordon Scharville, whom he married May 26, 1978; a daughter, Leah (Robert) Prischak of Solon; a son, Mark (Jacey McWilliams) Scharville of Hermitage, Pa.; a stepson, Scott Fecik of Hartford; and two brothers, Michael (Patricia) Scharville of Raleigh, N.C., and James (Patricia) Scharville of Poland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and relatives may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 state Route 7, Hartford. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m., with the Rev. Mary Ann Rufener officiating.

A graveside committal service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at Westview Cemetery in Vernon. The Trumbull County Honor Guard will conduct services.
