John J. Prox

He was born May 6, 1929, in Perryopolis, Pa., a son of the late Stephen J. and the late Justine Shimko Prox.

On Nov. 3, 1979, he married Doris Wagner, and they spent 13 years together, until her passing in 1993.

He worked at Copperweld Steel for over 27 years. John bowled on almost every local bowling league and loved watching the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Sherri (David) Anderson of Warren; son, Gary (Laura) Raznoff of Warren; granddaughters, Ashley Raznoff, Taylor Anderson and Savannah Anderson, all of Warren; grandsons, Brandon Raznoff of Niles and Kyle Raznoff of Warren; as well as his sister, Irene Selep of Bazetta. John also leaves behind his great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Prox; five brothers, Edward, Stephen, Thomas, Charles and James Prox; as well as his parents.

Per John’s wishes, private services were held and officiated by Mark Wagner, and John was laid to rest next to Doris in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.

Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren handled the arrangements.
