Barbara R. Palette

VIENNA — Barbara Ruth Carr Mines Palette, 85, of Vienna, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Barbara was born Oct. 11, 1931, to the late James Carr and Ruth Salway Mines, and her adoptive father, Harvey Lee Mines.

She was a graduate of Howland High School. Barbara attended Mount Union College and graduated from the Warren Business College.

She worked for Packard Electric and Howland School District as a secretary. She was a member of Howland Community Church. Barbara was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and cross stitching.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ralph A. Palette, whom she married Sept. 5, 1953; her children, Deborah (Ray) Claus, Les (Sandra) Palette and Lori (Rick) Wilson; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Marion “June” Rausch, Joan Palette and Elaine Palette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Shaun Palette and Dana Britt Wilson.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE in Warren.
