Jane C. Williams
OLMSTED TOWNSHIP — Jane Claire Williams, 87, of Olmsted Township, passed away peacefully into eternal rest Saturday, March 11, 2017, at St. John’s Medical Center in Westlake.
Jane was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Warren, the only child of the late Arthur G. and Clare Bertine Cover Williams. Jane was formerly of Rocky River.
Jane was a 1948 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and Hiram College, where she earned her bachelor of science degree. Jane was a supervisor of the stock transfer department at Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company.
Jane was a former member of the Women’s Committee of the Cleveland Orchestra. She loved to travel, having made a trip to Africa and many other interesting places. Jane was an avid reader and sports fan, her favorite team being the Cleveland Indians. She enjoyed opera music, fishing and worked tirelessly on family genealogy.
Loving memories of Jane will be carried on by many cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Tom Snyder will officiate. Jane will be laid to rest next to her parents in Hawley Cemetery, McClintocksburg Road in Paris Township.
