Catherine T. Maloney
HOWLAND — Catherine Theresa DiJoseph Maloney, 78, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 27, 1938, the daughter of Pietro and Maria Cibella DiJoseph. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1956 and attended Trumbull Business College. She worked in the office at Hills Department Store, and later, was a homemaker and babysitter.
She was a greeter at her church, worked at her church bookstore, and was a prayer warrior for multitudes of causes. She loved watching the Cleveland Indians play. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and attending their various activities.
She leaves behind her husband, Edward A. Maloney, whom she married in 1965 after meeting him at square-dancing lessons; her sister, Esther Logar, formerly of Niles; her son, Charles (Margaret) Maloney, who lives in Sarver, Pa.; her daughter Mary (David) Toepfer, who resides in Howland; and three grandchildren, Pietro Maloney, Maura Maloney and Katherine Toepfer.
Family and friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Monday evening at the Peter Rossi Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Believers Church, 2577 Schenley Ave. NE, Warren, OH 44483. A service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with Pastor William Carter officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta.
