Carolee Fowler

WARREN — Carolee Fowler, 77, of Warren, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017.

She was born June 29, 1939, in Warren, the daughter of the late Walter Jennings and Lois Ellen McClure Beard.

On Nov. 24, 1960, Carolee married Richard Fowler. They shared 56 music-filled years of marriage.

She was a 1957 graduate of Champion High School and was employed with Champion Schools for over 30 years. Carolee was a member of the Champion Christian Church and was also the director of the choir. She had an incredible voice and was often in demand to perform for weddings and funerals. Carolee was also a member of the Happy Wanderers singing group who traveled across the United States. She was a past treasurer of the Champion Fire Department Auxiliary, on the Board of Directors for the Warren Civic Music Association and treasurer of the Statler Ridge Condo Association. Carolee was a vibrant member of the community, always enjoying social occasions and holiday celebrations.

Carolee’s memory will be carried on by her loving husband, Richard Fowler of Warren; son, Jeffrey (Christine) Fowler of Newton Falls; daughter, Lenore (Antonio) Torres of Drummonds, Tenn.; sister, Kathryn Ludlow of Harrisburg, Pa.; and grandchildren, Derrick and Jessica Torres and Marcus, Rachel, Jaret and Ty Fowler.

Besides her parents, Carolee was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbert Beard.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at the Champion Christian Church, where Pastor Ken Hopkins will officiate. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery.

The family requests that material contributions be made to Champion Christian Church, 151 Center Street West Warren, OH 44481, in her memory.
