Clair E. Reiner

LISBON — Clair Ellis “Pierre” Reiner, 84, of Morris Street in Lisbon, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at his home.

He was born April 22, 1932, in McGrann, Pa., a son of the late William D. and Margaret Steele Reiner.

Clair was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War, and had worked in construction as a union pipefitter.

Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth Ann Paisley; a daughter, Nisa (Rodney) Welsh of East Liverpool; and three sons, William “Bill” (Paula) Reiner of Wellsville, Lee Reiner and his companion, Lyssa, of Warren, and Bruce (Beth) Reiner of Youngstown. There are six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Clair also leaves behind a brother, Kenneth Reiner of Cortland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Mildred Fox, and three brothers, William, Dale and Harry Reiner.

Friends may visit the family 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. The Rev. Steven McKeown will conduct a service at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Thursday. Full military honors will be accorded. Following the service, friends and family will gather at American Legion Post 374.
