William K. Justis 1924-2016

NILES — William “Bill” K. Justis, 92, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at his residence in Niles.

Bill was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Girard, a son of the late William I. and Jeanie Mackey Justis.

Bill retired from the Ohio Leather Works in Girard and had also worked at Niles High School as a custodian. He was an active member of Niles First Church of the Nazarene. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.

On June 27, 1953, Bill was united into marriage with the former Betty Manners, and together, they shared nearly 63 loving years, until her passing on March 28 of this year.

His memories will be remembered and cherished by those he dearly loves and leaves behind, including a son, Kenneth Paul (Kim) Justis of Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters, Deborah Lee Goddard of Niles, Cynthia Ann (Mark) Seifert of Bushnell, Fla., and Dawn Marie (Dean) Seifert and Faith Ann (Gary) Booth, both of Champion; brothers, Richard (Mary Ann) Justis of Mineral Ridge and Thomas (Sue) Justis of Bedford; a sister-in-law, Ruby Justis of Niles; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and caregivers, Michelle Schuster and Diane Weaver, for the care provided to Bill.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Emily Justis; his wife; one brother, John Michael Justis; two grandsons, Joseph Wayne Seifert and Matthew Taylor Seifert; and one great-grandson, Bentley Craig Seifert.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio, where a funeral service will take place at noon, with the Rev. Gary Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Park Cemetery in Champion.    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niles First Church of the Nazarene, 1822 Vienna Road, Niles, Ohio, or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512, in Bill’s memory.
