Tsuneko Creamer 1926-2016
WARREN — Tsuneko Creamer, 90, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, in Warren.
She was born Sept. 6, 1926, in Ikeda City, Osaka, Japan, to the late Tamitaro and Mitsu Kurioka.
Tsuneko was married Oct. 14, 1955, to Frank Edward Creamer, U.S. Marine technical sergeant and veteran of the Korean War. She came to the United States in December 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, Nov. 13, 1997.
Her education included Ikeda Elementary, Senshin Private Girl’s High School (1945), and she attended the Ruron Dress Making School and also learning the flower and tea ceremony. She was a proud member of Southington Baptist Church and the NE Ohio Japanese Club.
While Tsuneko was a U.S. citizen by marriage, she took the additional step of completing naturalization because she was proud to be an American citizen. She was proud to have cast her 2016 absentee presidential ballot before her passing.
Tsuneko is survived by two sons, Thomas (Kimberly) of Boca Raton, Fla., and William of Warren; three grandchildren, Thomas, Alyssa and Anthony, all from Boca Raton; one brother, Akio; and one sister, Natsuko.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mitsuru, Takao and Fumio; and sisters, Hisae and Tamie.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren, where the 11 a.m. to noon service will directly follow.
