Ralph T. Gifford

BROOKFIELD — Ralph T. Gifford, 74, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Liberty Health Care Center under Southern Care Hospice’s care.

Ralph was born July 6, 1942, in Warren, a son of the late Alvia and Grace Huffman Gifford.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ralph served as a military policeman during the Vietnam Conflict. Ralph retired from Commercial Shearing in Youngstown.

Ralph loved going to garage sales, collecting Western motif and enjoyed gardening. He was an animal lover and had many dogs throughout his life.

Ralph will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Carrie Clendenning, whom he married March 25, 1967; two aunts, Laura Sandor and Helen Carlton; sisters-in-law, Judy Jennings Huey, Dianne Clendenning Lucero and husband, Max Lucero, and Peggy Clendenning Martin; one niece, Rhonda (Nicholas) Baldwin-Amorganos; two nephews, Roger (Suzann) Baldwin and Russell (Lana) Baldwin; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucile Gifford; and one nephew, Steven Clendenning.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, with Pastor Matt Darrin officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home.
