Patrick Murray 1958-2016

WARREN — Pat Murray, 58, passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, in Warren, after a valiant fight against cancer.

He was born March 14, 1958, in Warren.

Pat was a graduate of Howland High School in 1976. He worked as a cook and a manager at Perkins Pancake House in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York, from 1976 to 1979. In 1979, Pat enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for six years in Military Intelligence, until 1985. After his time in the military, he became a self-employed drywall contractor. In 2003, Pat started working at the Warren Family Mission. He continued there for one year and then volunteered his time for several years following.

Pat is survived by his brother, Michael “Mick” J. Murray; sisters, Linda K. Bishop and Karen Rosenberg; niece, Beth (Mike) Bishop Rigsby; and nephew, Christopher D. Bishop.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas “Ted” Murray and Beverly Heasley Murray.

Pastor Chris Gilger will officiate the memorial service 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at Warren Family Mission, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, O. 44485, with a meal to follow.

Pat’s wishes were that no flowers be sent but instead that monetary contributions be made to Warren Family Mission, P.O. Box 311, Warren, OH 44482, in his memory.
