WEST FARMINGTON — Louis T. Potter Jr., 88, of West Farmington, entered peacefully into rest 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, of complications from kidney failure.

Louis was born May 24, 1928, in Cleveland, the son of the late Louis T. Potter Sr. and Minnie Schmida Potter.

Louis was a lifelong bachelor who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was a graduate from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in accounting.

He worked as a controller for a number of Cleveland companies, including Bobbie Brooks Corporation.    Louis leaves behind many cousins and neighbors who cared about him even though he had strong unwavering opinions. He was a Trump supporter and when he was told in the hospital that Trump won, he giggled. Louis received excellent care in recent years and weeks from Fresenius Medical Center, where he received dialysis for the past five years, St Joseph Warren Hospital fourth floor nurses and staff and the nurses and staff of the Hospice Center of the Valley.

Special thanks also goes to his attorney, Patricia A. Knepp of Warren, and more recently, Allison M. McMeechan of Reminger in Cleveland. A very special thanks goes to the Veterans Administration doctors, nurses and support staff.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that, in his memory, people plant flowers, shrubs and gardens, which he cherished. Also, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Valley’s Hospice House, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road, NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated To Serving Your Loved Ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
