WARREN — Lawrence E. Haynes, 86, of 121 Eastwind Drive NE, died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, following complications of a short illness.

He was born Sept. 24, 1930, in Johnson City, Tenn., the son of Walter E. and Verlie G. Malone Haynes.

Mr. Haynes worked for Republic Steel aka LTV aka WCI Steel Co., where he was a roller from 1958-2000.

He was a past member of Antioch Pentecostal Tabernacle Church.

He leaves his wife, Daisy Butler Haynes of Warren; two sons, James Melvin Haynes of Warren and Robert Eugene Haynes of San Francisco, Calif.; three stepsons, William (Hiroko) Butler of New York, Marcus Butler of Columbus and Anthony (Renee) Butler of Cincinnati; one brother, Malcolm (Mary) Haynes of Crestview, Fla.; two sisters, Lana (Wayne) Daggs and Sarah (Michael) Young both of Bristol, Tenn.; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobby G. Haynes; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday at Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel.

Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 121 Eastwind Drive NE.
