John Priscilla

LEAVITTSBURG — John “Shakey” Priscilla, 84, of Leavittsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Wellsville, a son of the late George Priscilla and the late Mildred Benecovich Priscilla. “Shakey” married Malissa Brown on Sept. 24, 1955.

He worked as a steelworker at Republic Steel for over 34 years. John honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a tank driver.

John was a member of VFW Post 6549.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Malissa Brown Priscilla of Leavittsburg; son, Mitchell Priscilla of Front Royal, Va.; daughter, Sherry (Albert) Patchin of Niles; son, Darren Priscilla of Warren; a sister, Mary Champin; several nieces and nephews; as well as five grandsons, Corey, Cagney, Justin, Drake and Jarron.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and his parents.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor David R. Black will officiate.

Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 30, 2016, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Township.
