BAZETTA — Evangeline “Angie” Bournias, 68, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1948, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Michael and Tula Ahladis.
She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She retired in 2001 from Packard Electric as an assembler after 30 years. Angie was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, George Bournias, whom she married May 31, 1970; a son, Terry Bournias of Bazetta; two brothers, Louis Ahladis of Warren and Anthony “Tony” (Laurie) Ahladis of Coral Springs, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Irene (Chris) Kotsatos of Clearwater, Fla.; and her beloved dog, Jewels.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Nicholas M. Ahladis.
Family and friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, with a 3 p.m. Trisagion Service, and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A service will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, with the Rev. Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in Angie’s name, to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, 429 High St., Warren, Ohio 44481 or Cleveland Clinic for cancer research.
