Doris M. Pelyhes


NILES — Doris M. Pelyhes, 87, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

Doris was born Oct. 15, 1929, in Warren, a daughter of the late Charles and Viola Dellick Jr.

She had worked at Ohio Lamp and was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles.

Doris was the treasurer and bass singer with Sweet Adalines and the Sounds of Square County. Doris was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing crafts at home.

On April 22, 1961, Doris was united into marriage with Raymond L. Pelyhes Sr. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Warren.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Raymond; her son, Raymond (Susan) Pelyhes Jr. of Youngstown; and her sister, Terrie Lee (Jeff) Jones of Vienna.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Florence Devorich; and one brother, Charles Dellick III.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, with the Rev. James Korda officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at the beginning of calling hours. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
