Dena M. Luketic

KEY LARGO, Fla. — Dena Meleah Luketic, 26, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, in Florida.

She was born June 1, 1990, at Akron City Hospital. She was a graduate of Southeast High School and certified as an STNA.

Dena grew up playing in the barn with her sister. She had a love for animals and gave every single one of them a name. She enjoyed riding her horses, going mudding on four wheelers and sledding in the backyard. Dena had a big personality and could carry on a conversation with anyone. She had a soft spot for the elderly and enjoyed working in nursing homes. She had an insane ability to create laughs with her off the wall stories, impersonations and jokes. She had a kind, loving heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents, Christine Luketic and Jim Luketic; sister, Danika (Lauren) Seever; niece, Isla Seever; grandparents, Mary Lou Johnson and Walter and Norma Luketicl; and many family and friends.

We take comfort in knowing she is surrounded by other family members who are no longer with us, including her grandfather, Charles Johnson; and aunt, Katrina Litsinger.

Private services will be held for the family. Dena will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newton Falls Road, Paris Township.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary, 5623 New Milford Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.

Arrangements have been entrusted to James Funeral Home, 8 East Broad St., Newton Falls, OH 44444. 330-872-5440.
