WARREN — Nicholas “Nick” Koutsouras, 84, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 24, 1932, in Chios, Greece, the son of the late Demetrios and Evangelia Koutsouras.
Nick came to the U.S. in 1952 and moved to Warren in 1958. He retired from the G.M. Assembly Plant in Lordstown as a machinist after 27 years.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren. He enjoyed reading, gardening, grilling outdoors and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Nick served in the Greece Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Koutsouras, whom he married July 1, 1956; two daughters, Evelyn Koutsouras of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Mary (James) Pitinii of Warren; two grandchildren, Lukea and Nicolette; five brothers, Matthew (Joanne) Koutsouras of Bayside, N.Y., Terry (Stamatia) Koutsouras, Michael (Marina) Koutsouras, Sotiri (Jenny) Koutsouras and Lambros (Phyllis) Koutsouras, all of Long Island, N.Y.; and a sister, Kitsa Alexandris of Athens, Greece. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, George Koutsouras.
A private service will be held Monday. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
