BAZETTA — Mary “Mildred” Wilson, 100, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Autumn Hills Care Center surrounded by her family.
Mary was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Foster Joseph and Anna Casey Powell.
Mildred was formerly employed as a beautician.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing, cooking, crafts and painting. Mildred also sang in Minstrels and played the piano.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Gayle Neff and Noreen Ashley; a son, Norman Wilson; a sister, Ellen Beany; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mildred was the best aunt and will be missed by her nieces, Sandra Van Huffel and Cheryl Kundel.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman David Wilson, who passed away in 1978; a daughter, Connie Cera; a brother, Raymond Powell; and two grandsons.
Services were held Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016. Mildred was laid to rest Hillside Cemetery in Cortland.
