CHAMPION — Marian Louise Sutliff , 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, surrounded by her family, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Warren, the daughter of the late Evan and Florence Buckley Engle. Marian married Fred Sutliff July 18, 1952, and they enjoyed 64 years together.

Marian was employed by Champion Local School District as a secretary to the superintendent and to the assistant principal of Champion High School.

She was a longtime member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and of the Champion Presbyterian Church. After her retirement in 1993, she worked part time for the Ohio Turnpike.

She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, bowling and golf.

Memories of Marian will be carried on by her husband, Fred Mearlin Sutliff of Champion; daughters, Sandra Arner of Tallmadge and Janet (Gary) SeGall of Greenville, Pa.; son, William (Mary) Sutliff of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; brother, Richard (Ruth Ann) Engle of Fort Mill, S.C.; and sister-in-law, Dolores Engle of Spokane, Wash.; grandchilden, Kenneth (Susan) Arner, Philip (Andrea) Arner, Marc SeGall, Matthew SeGall, Lauren (Adam) Hamman, Eric (Mary) SeGall, Neal (Julie) Sutliff, Melissa Sutliff, Betsy Sutliff and Robert Sutliff; and great-grandchilden, Caleb, Nathan, William, Morgan, Donald, Breanna and Steven.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Engle.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Champion Presbyterian Church. There will be visitation and viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m., with 10:30 a.m. services to follow. The Rev. Marvin Barney will be officiating. Services of final committal will follow in Champion Township Cemetery.

Her family suggest contributions be made in the form of donations to Champion Presbyterian Church, Hospice of the Valley or Hope Center.
