L. Dale Palfrey
BELLE VERNON, Pa. — L. Dale Palfrey, 78, of Belle Vernon, Pa., formerly of Warren, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at the Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela, Pa.
He was born July 22, 1938, in Vesta, Pa., a son of the late William and Olive E. Wells Palfrey. He served his country in the Marine Corps during Vietnam and also was stationed in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
As a truck mechanic, he worked for Packard Electric in Warren, a division of General Motors, as a supervisor of the boilerhouse.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Palfrey of Portsmouth, Va. and Scott Palfrey and his wife, Roseann, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Michael Palfrey Jr., Amy Palfrey, Victoria Palfrey and Nina Baldwin; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Palfrey of Orlando, Fla., and Richard Palfrey of Dunnellon, Fla.; and four sisters, Wilma Whitelaw of Belle Vernon, Pa., Lillian Mort of Bayonet Point, Fla., Sherry Strenske of Belle Vernon, Pa., and his twin sister, Loretta Sterner of Belle Vernon, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Harvey Palfrey, who passed away Jan. 31, 1995; and his second wife, Roberta Lesovic, who passed away March 28, 2014.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Pa.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Suzanne Curry officiating.
Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
