Donald R. Eisenbraun

WARREN – Donald R. Eisenbraun, 80, of Warren, passed away 2:34 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Eisenbraun was born March 18, 1936, in Struthers, the son of the late Ralph H. and Beatrice A. Gosnell Eisenbraun.

Donald was a graduate of Struthers High School. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Eisenbraun retired in September 1997 from Packard Electric, where he was a machinist for 28 years. During this time, he earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Kent State University.

Don was a member of The Brigade of the American Revolution. Don enjoyed racing motorcycles and go-karts. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering at the Packard Museum and Mosquito Lake Dog Park.

His wife, Lana Dunn Eisenbraun, whom he married March 15, 1958, passed away July 10, 2009.

He is survived by two sons, Gary (Paulette) Eisenbraun of Southington and Robert Eisenbraun of San Francisco; a daughter, Susan (Steven) Vargo of Champion, with whom Donald made his home; a brother, Robert Eisenbraun of State College, Pa.; a sister, Katherine Morgan of Shadyside; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by a brother, James Eisenbraun.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at McFarland & Son Funeral Services, 271 N. Park Ave. Warren, OH 44481. There also will be calling hours one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Denise Gunersen, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Champion, will officiate. Interment will take place in Meadow Brook Memorial Park.
