David A. Emerine Sr.
WARREN — David A. Emerine Sr., 74, went to be with his Savior in his sleep, at home, Friday morning, Oct. 14, 2016.
David was born Aug. 2, 1942, in Warren, a son of the late Joseph Emerine and Fanny Ashland Emerine. He was a 1960 graduate of Champion High School and was an auto mechanic in the Champion area for 40 years, until he retired.
He was a member of the Lordstown Christian Church and well known for his philanthropic community service. In his early years, he participated in racing cars. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. But most of all, he was huge on family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to travel with his wife, especially to Hawaii and Georgia.
David will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy Cook Emerine, whom he married Nov. 21, 2015; his children, Amy (Jeff) Elston of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kim Comanescu of Warren, David (Tina) Gallison of Cortland, Tricia (Roy) Hites of Mecca and Debra Gallison of Newton Falls; two brothers, Richard (Charleen) Emerine of Florida and Ardie (Jan) Emerine of Champion; one sister, Patty Morrell of Hubbard; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, David Emerine Jr. and Todd Emerine.
Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.18, 2016, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive SE, Warren, OH 44483. A memorial service will be noon Wednesday, Oct.19, 2016, at Lordstown Christian Church, 6370 Tod Ave. SW, Warren, OH 44481.
