Arlene A. Frasca

NILES – Arlene A. Frasca, 74, of Niles, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at her residence.

She was born April 8, 1942, in Warren, the daughter of Angelo and Nancy Lapriole Shiamone.

Arlene was a 1959 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, employed for 29 years at the Trumbull County Courthouse and at the Title Office as a deputy clerk, and also was a real estate agent.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles; former member of the Warren Junior Women’s League, where she chaired several committees; board member for the Art Outreach Gallery at the Eastwood Mall; a member of the Viestani-Amerital club and a poll worker for the Board of Elections.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughters, Allie and Elise. She also enjoyed entertaining and hosting.

She was an excellent cook and hostess. She had a reputation of putting together a meal for her guests in 20 minutes.

She looked forward to spending her winters in Naples, Fla., playing bocce on the beach with her Italian friends. She was an avid sports fan who rooted for the Cleveland Cavs and Cleveland Indians. She had a magnetic personality and touched many lives.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Angelo Frasca, whom she married April 20, 1963; a daughter, Angela (Joseph) Altobelli of Aurora; son, Dr. Michael Frasca of Little Italy, Cleveland; a brother, Eugene (Paula) Shiamone of Warren; and two grandchildren, Alexandra “Allie” Altobelli and Elise Altobelli; her brother-in-law, Tony Frasca; sister-in-law, Marietta Marino; brother-in-law, Lorenzo Russo; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Nancy Shiamone; sister-in-law, Giovanna Russo; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Marino.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayer at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
