Lisa A. Spelich

CORTLAND – Lisa A. Spelich, 54, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at the Hospice of the Valley in Poland.

Lisa was born March 23, 1962, in Warren, a daughter of Paul and Darlene Hinton Spelich Jr.

Lisa graduated from Howland High School and attended Kent State University. She followed her parents to Florida and resided there for 20 years in the West Palm area. After returning to Warren in 2009, she was a caregiver for her parents and other family members. Most recently, Lisa worked for Liberty Tax as a tax preparer. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Cavaliers fan. She enjoyed gambling, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Darlene Spelich; her daughter, Chelsie Nicole Spelich; her sisters, Mary O’Connor of Warren and Vickie (Michael) Ruhlander of Lantana, Fla.; a niece, Amanda O’Connor of Warren; three nephews, David O’Connor of Columbus, her godson, Bradley Campany of Florida and Chad Ruhlander of Florida; and a great-nephew and godson, Liam Dolan; and her poodle and constant companion, Molly. Lisa was preceded in death by her father.

“Lisa had the biggest heart and always had a welcoming smile for everyone she came in contact with. She had a sense of humor that brightened up any room and could make you laugh.”

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 140 Cherry Ave. NW, Warren, with Pastor William D. Leitch officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church.
