Bobby D. Ford
NILES – Bobby D. Ford, 55, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Mass., following a tragic accident at work.
Bobby was born Nov. 27, 1960, in Rockford, Ill., a son of Bobby D. Ford and the late Francie Owens Ford.
Bobby worked as a laborer, owning and operating his own business demolishing water towers for over 25 years. He was a devoted hardworking family man who adored his kids and grandkids. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and taking the grandbabies on four-wheeler rides.
He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 36 years, Karla Pemble of Niles; two daughters, McKayla Ford of Warren and Karissa Ford of Niles; his father, Bobby Ford of Dixon, Ill.; and siblings, Debbie (Randy) Eisele, of Creston, Ill., Lynda Hoggard, Jimmy Ford, David Ford and Timmy Ford, all of Dixon. He also leaves behind his precious grandsons, Sean Ford and Logan Winland.
He was preceded in death by his mother; granddaughter, Willow Gordon; and brother, Steven Ford.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Ave., Niles. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
