Elizabeth L. Lawn
McDONALD – Elizabeth L. “Betty” Robbins Lawn, 88, of McDonald, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Briarfield Nursing home in Austintown.
She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Daniel B. and Margaret B. Williams Carson.
She was a member of the Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald. She worked as a receptionist for Holub Iron and Steel in Youngstown and the Elks Club in Youngstown.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan (Dan) O’Neil of Ossining, N.Y.; son, Daniel T. Robbins of Howland; brother, Daniel James Carson of New Middletown; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Denton A. Robbins, who died in 1969; and her second husband, Jack Lawn, who died July 2, 2001; and sisters, Mary Jane Smith and Evelyn Joyce Renzenbrink.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
The family requests any material contributions be made to the church memorial fund.
Betty will be laid to rest in Lake Park Cemetery.
