Anne F. Roberts

HOWLAND – Anne F. Roberts, 93, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at the Windsor House in Champion.

She was born Jan. 12, 1921, in Warren, the daughter of the late Vasilie Sr. and Elena Lacatis Farkas.

Anne was a 1939 graduate of Howland High School. She had previously worked for Packard Electric for 10 years.

Anne was a member of the Howland Community Church and Howland American Legion Auxiliary Post 700 for 65 years.

She was an avid reader and Cleveland Indians fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Walter) King of Champion; three grandchildren, Jerry (Kristin) King, Max King and Courtney King; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Avery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry E. Roberts, whom she married Aug. 21, 1949, and who passed away Aug. 10, 2005; a sister, Mary Savu; and four brothers, Vasilie “Vas” Jr., Tom, John and Raymond Farkas.

Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Byrne officiating.

Burial will be in Howland Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne’s name to the Howland Community Church Memorial Fund, 198 Niles Cortland Road S.E., Warren, OH 44484.
