Audrey L. Principi

CHAMPION – Audrey L. Principi, 89, of Champion, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of her caregiver, after complications from Alzheimer’s.

She was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Warren, a daughter of the late John and Florence McCracken Thellman.

Audrey was employed as a payroll clerk with the Trumbull County Auditor’s Office for more than 20 years.

She was a member of St. William Catholic Church, and enjoyed bowling, for which she had many trophies. In her younger years, Audrey also enjoyed her time spent as a Girl Scouts leader.

Memories of Audrey will be carried on by her son, David (Peg) Principi of Warren; daughter, Kathy Principi of Healdsburg, Calif.; granddaughter, Margeaux Walter of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a brother, John “Jack” (Genevieve) Thellman of Howland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Angelo Principi; brothers, Herb, Norman “Butch” and Jim Thellman; and a sister, Dorothy Dixon.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.

The family requests that material contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236, in her memory.
