Elizabeth J. Adams

WARREN – Elizabeth J. “Betsy” Armintrout Adams, of Warren, went home to her heavenly father Sunday, June 22, 2014, at her home.

She was born June 23, 1942, in Warren, a daughter of the late Addison O. and Susanna Butchko Armintrout.

She attended Warren G. Harding High School, and married James J. Adams on Nov. 23, 1962.

Betsy worked as a volunteer at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital from 1987 to 1994 and also worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Imperial Nursing Home.

She enjoyed embroidery, making hundreds of items over the years. She also enjoyed puzzles and puzzle books.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Tilton and James A. Adams, both of Warren; daughters, Karen (Mike) Petro of Champion, Anna (John) Daniel of Warren, Amy (Paul) Fry of Warren, Christine Mosley of Warren and Judith Adams of Warren; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Gerald E. (Phyllis) Armintrout of Warren, and two sisters, Roselyn (Robert F.) Murray of Seville and Barbara L. Rek of Warren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James J. Adams; three brothers, Francis Butchko,William John and Richard Armintrout; and a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Tilton.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Myron Daum officiating.
