Donald A. Colley

BRISTOLVILLE – Donald Allen Colley, 76, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014.

He was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Warren, the son of W.E. and Rita Smith Colley.

Don married Mildred Whitney on June 10, 1960, and they celebrated 53 years together.

Donald was a graduate of Bristol High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1958 to 1966.

He was employed at Packard Electric for 29 years as a mechanic and was also a roofer, carpenter and truck driver.

He was a member of Bristolville United Methodist Church, was active in the Boy Scouts, West Farmington Masonic Lodge 507, Trumbull County Conservation Leauge, where he was a reserve deputy, and firefighter and EMT for Bristol Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Colley of Bristol; sons, David Colley of Warren and Brian Colley of South Carolina; daughters, April (Kevin) Rapp of Columbiana and Lisa (James) Frantz of Cortland; sisters, Lavonia (Don) Gower of California, Dorothy (Robert) List of Mecca, Lola (Ron) Eakin of Warren and Marge Miller of Orwell; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Bristolville United Methodist Church, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jody Baker will officiate.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
