Michael G. Marando
WARREN – Michael G. “Mick” Marando, 66, of Warren, died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his home.
He was born Feb. 25, 1948, in Franklin, Pa., the son of Joseph and Marilyn Marando.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University in Athens. He went on to obtain his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Villanova Law School in Philadelphia.
After graduating law school, Michael began his career with Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd. Michael was a partner at the firm, where he worked for more than 39 years.
Michael was a member of the Ohio Bar Association, Trumbull County Bar Association, and the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber.
His passion was for the outdoors, especially his love for Cook Forest, Pa., where Michael; his brother, Curtis; and his father, Joseph, built their family cabin.
His greatest enjoyment came from the family gatherings at the cabin, reading, fishing, and spending time with his children.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Joseph and Marilyn Marando of Champion; son, Michael Marando of Columbus; daughter, Mallory Marando of New York, N.Y.; brother, Curtis (Theresa) Marando of Hubbard; sisters, Sherry Havill of San Rafael, Calif., Christina Conrad of San Anselmo, Calif., and Jean (Larry) Baker of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Marando.
Calling hours are from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at St. William Catholic Church at 5431 Mahoning Ave N.W., followed by a memorial service.
