HOWLAND – Mary Cherep, 95, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.
She was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Listie, Pa., the daughter of Wasyl and Anna Wilco.
Mary came to Warren years ago from Michigan.
She retired from Kmart as a cashier. She was a member of St. John Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her two children, Steven (Carol) Cherep of Lincoln, Neb., and Lydia Becker of Howland; five grandchildren, Kelly (Brandon) Schroer and Brent (Kelli) Cherep, both of Lincoln, Justin Becker of Howland, Ana (Paul) Harden of Parma Heights and Maria Becker of Independence; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Cherep, who passed away on April 13, 1992; and three brothers John, Steven and Michael Wilco.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Johns Orthodox Church on Reeves Road, where a service will follow the calling hours at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jonathon Cholcher officiating
Burial will be Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills, Mich.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary’s name to St. John’s Orthodox Church, 2220 Reeves Road N.E., Warren, OH 44483.
