TROY – Julia Learn, 88, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Bertha Bytner.
Julia was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Parkman.
Survivors include her children, John Learn of Macedonia, Rosemary Roach of Middlefield, Catherine Dombek of Bainbridge, Theresa DeSalvo of Garrettsville, Edward Learn of North Carolina and Frank Learn of Troy Township; two brothers, Tony Bytnar and Henry Bytner, both of Ravenna; three sisters, Mary Rhea and Stella Fairman, both of Pennsylvania, and Veronica Zaczyk of Newton Falls; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; a son, Clarence; five brothers; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Parkman, where a Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Troy Township Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Garrettsville.
