Richard T. Murray
YOUNGSTOWN – Richard T. “Dick” Murray, 88, died Tuesday morning, April 1, 2014, at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
He was born April 3, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of Alexander and Elizabeth Beaudis Murray.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater, earning three Bronze Stars. He worked for Republic Rubber/Aeroquip Corp. and also owned Murray’s Printing. Mr. Murray was a lifelong member of St. Brendan Church in Youngstown.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Roman Murray; a daughter, Carole Gray of Frisco, Texas; a son, Chuck Murray of Burton; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas R. Murray.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and continue with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Brendan Church in Youngstown.
A committal service with military honors will follow in Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
