L. Maxine McQuaide

CORTLAND – L. Maxine McQuaide, 82, of Cortland, formerly of Boardman, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, at home.

She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Ross and Ruth Smith Gindlesberger.

Maxine was married to the late Thomas J. McQuaide.

She was employed as a sales associate at Kaufman’s for many years.

Maxine was devoted to her church and family, and was especially proud of her grandchildren, Maddie and Eric McQuaide.

At the Champion Christian Church, Maxine greatly enjoyed the quilting group Ladies Aid, and enjoyed the Ruth Circle women’s group. She was on the Permanent Endowment Advisors Committee, and helped with the Adult Conference.

She is survived by her son, Russell (Melinda) McQuaide of Warren; daughter-in-law, Debbie McQuaide of Crystal Lake, Ill.; grandson, Eric McQuaide; and granddaughter, Maddie McQuaide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Lois Gindlesberger, and son, Mark A. McQuaide.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Champion Christian Church, 151 Center St. W., Warren, Ohio 44481, with visitation from 5 to 6 p.m.

Arrangements were entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Service.
