Darleen E. Whitmore
HOWLAND – Darleen E. Whitmore, 65, of Howland, passed away after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 10, 1949 in Warren, the daughter of Daryl and Evelyn Crawford.
Darleen was a 1967 graduate of Howland High School and was employed as an LPN with O’Brien Memorial Nursing Home.
Ms. Whitmore was a volunteer with the Red Cross. She enjoyed shopping, ceramics and collecting Native American Indian relics. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
Darleen is survived by her daughter, Dawn M. Whitmore at home; grandchildren, Tristen (Tasha Darbey) Kaso of Howland, Derek (Kristy) Hollander of Hubbard, Shane Hollander of Liberty; Tiawna and Tahnee Whitmore, both at home; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Paisley; son-in-law, Glenn Hollander; dear friend of Darleen, Janis Hollander; and her beloved dog, Chewy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Danette Hollander; and cousin, Donald Dimit.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Crown Hill Burial Park, 3966 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna.
