Charles W. Cross
WARREN – Charles W. Cross, 92, of Warren, formerly of Cortland, died at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1921, in West Farmington, the son of Olney E. and Marguerite Henry Cross.
Charles was a retired steel worker from Copperweld Steel. He also was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two children, Charles R. Cross of Canton and Rosemary Z. Miller of Warren; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Cross of Cortland.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Lucille Greaser; a son, Jerry O. Cross; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and one sister.
Family and friends may visit from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Meadow Brook Memorial Park, where 11:30 a.m. graveside services will be held. Military services will take place following a brief prayer service.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.
