POLAND – Amedeo Chiovitti, 79, of Poland, died Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014, from an apparent heart attack at his residence.
He was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Bojano, Campobasso, Italy, to Giuseppe and Carmela Pitoscia Chiovitti.
Amedeo served in the U.S. Army. He worked for P&LE Railroad and was a member of Holy Family Parish in Poland.
Survivors include his wife, Pierina Colalillo; two children, Lina Lewis and Joseph Chiovitti; a grandson; and a sister, Carolina Tenaglia of Italy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church in Poland, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home in Boardman. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield, where Amedeo’s military service will be recognized by the Trumbull County American Legion.
