Yolanda Dalessandro

NILES – Yolanda “Lola” Dalessandro, 91, of Niles, died Sunday March 2, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

She was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Niles, the daughter of James and Carmel Fagnano Dalessandro.

She was a 1941 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed for 35 years at General Electric in Niles, retiring in 1978.

Lola was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, The Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, enjoyed playing the lottery and watching her favorite TV shows, especially ”Lawrence Welk” and ”Perry Mason.”

She will be deeply missed by a brother, James (JoAnn) Dalessandro of Warren, and a sister Anet “Dolly” Golias of Niles.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Dalessandro, Alfred Dalessandro and Louis Dalessandro, and two sisters, Angie Rock and Rose Bruno.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry and Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will conduct prayers at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. John-Michael Lavelle officiating.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
