LORDSTOWN – Susan “Betty” Marino, 92, of Lordstown, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 3, 2014, at her residence.
Susan was born on Feb. 25, 1922, in Patton, Pa., the daughter of Alex and Mary Baranik Berzansky. She has lived in Lordstown for the past 11 years, formerly of Livonia, Mich., and Barnesboro, Pa.
Susan married James F. Marino on Jan. 25, 1947. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage before his passing on Jan. 7, 2008. Susan took great pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Susan was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in North Jackson. She enjoyed going to the casinos, watching wrestling and playing bingo, but her greatest enjoyment came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Loving memories of Susan will be carried on by her daughters, Maria (Richard) Sherry of Lordstown, Vita (Stephen) Kirsch of Northern Cambria, Pa., and Vicki (Mike) Kehoe of Drums, Pa.; her son, James (Pat) Marino of Northern Cambria, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; several brothers and sisters; a granddaughter, Julie Kirsch; and a great-granddaughter, Violet LeDrew.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and 11 a.m. at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church.
The family will then have calling hours from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Moriconi Funeral Home in Northern Cambria, Pa., where funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 p.m.
Susan will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery beside her husband, James F. Marino.
