CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Shirley Rieger, 78, of Cleveland, Tenn., died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Life Care Center of Cleveland (Tenn.).
She was born July 29, 1935, in Youngstown, the daughter of Gordon L. and Gladys Rieger.
She had worked at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla., in the prenatal intensive care unit. She also was the caregiver of her parents.
She was of Baptist faith.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Slimmer of Crowly, Texas, and James L. Slimmer Jr., of East Freedom, Pa.; two daughters, Luanne Mizera of Cleveland, Tenn., and Lisa Slimmer of Fort Myers, Fla.; brothers Charles Rieger of Pine Island Fla. and Richard Rieger of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, James L. Slimmer and her second husband, Terry Whiteman; and a granddaughter, Tonya Feathers.
She was laid to rest in Fort Myers, Fla.
