Richard C. Vickers
NORTH LIMA – Richard C. “Dick” Vickers, 80, formerly of Youngstown, died Friday evening, March 21, 2014, at his home.
Dick was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Youngstown, the son of Andrew C. and Helen Grummel Vickers.
Dick was a 1952 graduate of Chaney High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked for Eagle Interiors.
Dick was a member of St. Christine Church.
Dick leaves four children, Richard A. Vickers of Austintown, Patricia L. Caven of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Andrea M. Cappuzzello of Cortland and Jeffrey M. Vickers of Liberty Township; nine grandchildren; his fiancee, Jacqueline Trgovac; and a sister, Katherine Rosser of Youngstown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmella Gizzi Vickers, and a brother.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Christine Church in Youngstown.
A committal service will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
