Jerry W. Joseph
HOWLAND – Jerry Wayne Joseph, 68, formerly of Leavittsburg, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014, at his home.
Jerry was born Aug. 28, 1945, in Warren, a son of the late Charles E. and Elizabeth Switz Joseph.
A 1965 graduate of Leavittsburg High School, Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, earning the Purple Heart for his brave service.
He retired from CSC Steel in 2000 after 36 years of service.
He was a member of the DAV Trumbull County Chapter 11, the Moose Club 186 of Warren, the American Legion Post 278, and VFW Post 1090.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, the former Judy L. Capron; two sons, Jerry W. (Debra) Joseph II of Hooper, Utah, and Edward D. (Jennifer) Joseph of Niles; two daughters, Sonia L. (Mark) Crespo of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cathy A. (Keith) Thomas of Newton Falls; and four grandchildren, Kyleigh Crespo, Paige Crespo, Brandon Thomas and Colin Joseph.
Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Charles A. Joseph.
Memorial services will 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Meadow Brook Memorial Park with the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
