Dolores A. Allsopp
WARREN – Dolores Anne Allsopp, 76, of Warren, died Saturday evening, March 8, 2014, at her home.
She was born May 17, 1937, in Warren, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Miller Lindsay.
She had been a lifetime Trumbull County resident, and she and her husband had lived in Champion for many years.
Dolores was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She worked for more than 20 years as a legal secretary for Meermans, Zimmer and Caufield LPA in Warren.
Dolores was of the Methodist faith and was a cancer survivor, participating in the Warren Relay for Life for several years. She was active with the Champion High School band boosters, when her children were in the high school band.
She had belonged to the Red Hat Society and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and an Ohio State University Buckeyes fan.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James E. Allsopp Sr., whom she married Nov. 3, 1956; one daughter, Kim M. (William) Morgan of Fairborn; one son, James E. Allsopp Jr. of San Diego; four grandchildren, Matthew, Alexander, Madelyn and Adam Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
One infant daughter, Diane Marie Allsopp; one brother, Robert Lindsay; and one sister, Dorothy Jarvis, all have preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. before the service. Pastor Ron Spore will officiate.
Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.
